- Hip Pain
- Labrum Tear
- Hip Osteoarthritis

- Hip Bursitis
Hip Pain
Hip pain is a common problem that affects many people, making it difficult to walk, stand, sit, and even sleep comfortably. Hip pain has many causes, making it essential to be evaluated properly to find the true cause. There are many conditions that can cause hip pain, including osteoarthritis, bursitis, tendonitis, and osteonecrosis.
At Atlas Medical Center, our medical providers have extensive experience in relieving hip pain without surgery. Our medical providers use one or more of the following procedures: PRP, bone marrow derived stem cells, advanced laser therapy, and physiotherapy to help reduce inflammation and enhance the body’s own natural healing ability. Ultimately our goal is to relieve hip pain by reducing inflammation and promoting healing of the tissues in and around your hip joint.
Labrum Tear
A Labral tear can be caused from many different ways. Sports injuries are the main cause of labrum tears. The outermost part of the labrum attaches directly to the tendon, so athletes who use a lot of force and motion such as weightlifters, golfers and baseball pitchers are at high risk of this type of injury.
Traumatic injury is the most common cause of a tear. Traumatic injury may result from a situation such as falling in a manner that puts strain on the hip or a direct blow or sudden pull. Furthermore, a labrum tear can result from degradation of the cartilage from overuse, repetitive motion and a dislocated hip. There are cases when surgery is indicated.
If you are suffering from a labrum tear, Atlas’ Program may be an alternative to cortisone injections and/or surgery. Regenerative therapies along with physiotherapies may help relieve pain, and have the potential to help accelerate your recovery; therefore, allowing you to get back to the activities you once enjoyed.
Hip Osteoarthritis
Osteoarthritis of the hip results from years of wear and tear. Cartilage provides a buffer in the joint between the bones to allow smooth, easy movement. Over time, this cartilage begins to break down and become brittle. Without enough cartilage to protect the bones from rubbing together and causing damage, this friction leads to swelling and painful inflammation. Ultimately, stiffness and soreness can limit mobility and make moving the joint very painful.
Traditionally, hip pain has been difficult to relieve, with pain medications, steroid injections, or even surgery being the only possible treatment options. Fortunately, Atlas’ Program makes it possible to help relieve osteoarthritis hip pain naturally.

“I had severe right hip pain for over 10 years. Getting up from a seated position and sitting in certain chairs always gave me hip pain. After having my treatment after one week I felt 50% better. It’s been 3 months and I’m now about 80% better. I’m very happy with the results so far.”

“Before coming to Atlas Medical Center I had a strong pain in my low back and hips. Walking was an issue and I had pain when I rolled onto my side. Hip Pain Due to Degeneration
The hips are often the most used joint in the body and over time take a lot of wear and tear. Hip degeneration is a condition that usually develops and worsens over a long period of time and with the aging process. Some may not notice any symptoms in the first stages, and then they may appear suddenly. When the cartilage protecting and surrounding the hip bones begin to wear down, those bones can begin to rub together. This friction between the bones eventually causes severe pain, inflammation, and swelling. It may cause stiffness, limit the joint’s range of motion, or even lead to the development of bone spurs.
Our non-surgical program may help relieve your hip pain without prescription medications, steroid injections or surgery. Call our office to schedule a consultation today.
Hip Bursitis
Inside the larger joints of the body are small, fluid-filled sacs called bursae that provide cushioning between muscles, bones and tissues, allowing them to move smoothly without friction. Bursitis is a condition involving the inflammation of one or more of these bursae. It can occur within the hip joints, causing mild to severe pain and stiffness, while making movement uncomfortable.
Therapies for bursitis should first reduce the inflammation that is causing the pain and stiffness in the hip joint. Atlas’ Program for hip bursitis is comprised of in-office procedures used to safely alleviate your bursitis hip pain by aiding in relieving the inflammation and the pain causing the bursitis.
Atlas’ Program: Relief from Chronic Hip Pain
Since 2001, at Atlas Medical Center we have been helping patients get relief from chronic hip pain even after conventional treatments such as pain medications, cortisone injections, physical therapy and surgery have failed. Atlas’ unique Program is customized depending on your age, health, diagnosis and severity of your condition. The program may include one or more of the following procedures: platelet rich plasma therapy, bone marrow derived stem cell therapy, advanced cold laser therapy, and physiotherapy. The integration of therapies allows us to help accelerate the healing process by enhancing the body’s own ability to heal, repair and regenerate naturally. Our goal is to relieve pain, inflammation, and improve mobility and function to the injured area. Unlike therapies that simply just mask the pain and are temporary; regenerative therapies have the potential to have more sustainable results. In addition, our skilled and experienced Medical providers will perform injections under ultrasound guidance leaving you confident that they are being injected into the TARGETED area— which allows for the greatest chance for success!
